Enrique Malaret — Chief Executive Officer
Enrique Malaret has over twenty five years of experience in medical device product development. For 17 years Mr. Malaret worked in positions of increasing responsibility within the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of Medtronic, Inc. During his tenure at Medtronic, Mr. Malaret developed and managed plans to improve operations, develop new products, value engineer existing products, and solve a wide variety of operational and product field related problems. Mr. Malaret graduated from Lafayette College with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
Tim O'Malley — Vice President
Mr. O'Malley has over 25 years in the medical device industry with global medical device corporations and startups incorporating a wide range of product applications in cardiology, diabetes, audiology and pulmonary. Tim has held senior management positions in corporate, sales/marketing and operations including founding new ventures and working overseas for over ten years. Prior to MedTech Mr. O'Malley has worked for Mayo Collaborative Services Inc, Abiomed, Diva Medical Systems B.V., Eli Lilly International and Cardiac Pacemakers Inc. Tim has an MBA in Finance from DePaul University and a B.A. in Political Science and International Service from American University.
Robert Stone, Ph.D. — Chief Technical Officer
Over the past twenty five years Dr. Robert Stone has held key positions in the development efforts of several California–based companies including Nellcor, MedaSonics, Natus Medical and Pacific Consultants. Dr. Stone has supervised all phases of new product development including concept definition, prototyping, design, clinical trials, FDA clearance and regulatory compliance including UL, CSA, and CE listings. Dr. Stone also specializes in patent development and technology licensing. Dr. Stone possesses a BSEE and MSEE from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Darius Przygoda, Ph.D. — Director Electrical Engineering
Dr. Darius Przygoda has over 20 years experience in electronic product design and development. His experience includes product design and problem–solving in analog and digital electronics, measurement of non–electrical quantities, as well as software on low-level firmware, data processing, and user interface level. Dr. Przygoda has extensive background in mathematics and physics, as well as hands–on background in digital/analog circuits design, simulation and debugging techniques, what allows him to effectively drive multi–disciplinary projects. Dr. Przygoda earned his M.S. and Ph.D. at the Technical University of Warsaw, Poland.
George McLean — Director of Research and Development
Mr. McLean provides clients with strong medical device expertise and a solid background of converting IP concepts to working prototypes. He has directed the technical development and clinical field trials for class III implantable devices and class II external wearable sensor systems. Recently he has established and managed key research relationships with University of Louisville, Emory University and collaboration with Stanford University. McLean has also led design, prototype build and testing work for mammographic x-ray imaging systems, and has previously worked for Optobionics and Suni Imaging Microsystems. George is the recipient of a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Electrical Engineering from MIT, and a Masters of Science in Physics from University of California, Berkeley.
